This year we have a keynote speaker; Liz Jack, Director LINC Tasmania who will speak after the welcome messages on Wednesday morning. 
 
 
 
Pre-Conference Training:
  • Symphony System Administration – mini sessions on Holds management, Running and Exporting Symphony Reports, Indexing, Customising staff logins, Label Designer.
  • Enterprise Starter – Administration  and Rooms
  • Enterprise Intermediate – mini sessions on Marc Maps, Creating Filters, Configuring EDS, Search Sources, Web Services
  • API and Web Services Refresher, including What’s New in API Workbook and some custom report refresher (one day)
  • BC Central, with BC Cat and BC Circ
  • BC Analytics – Starter
  • BC Analytics - Advanced

Accommodation:
The conference venue is not hosted in a hotel this year so please just check for accommodation at an appropriate price n the surrounding area. Limited numbers of discounted rooms are available from RACV Hobart. To book your accommodation please email hobart@racv.com.au and quote "SirsiDynix Group Block". Number of rooms are limited and based on first-come first-served basis. If you are a member of RACV or any other Auto club you might be eligible for the Auto Member price. Please check with the hotel if you are eligible. Rates are per night, excluding breakfast, which can be added for another $24.00 per person.

COSA 2017 needs YOU!
 
Have you done something interesting in your library with your SirsiDynix software? Have you found a creative way around a problem, or tried something that worked really well? Have your patrons responded positively to a development in your library processes, your website or your catalogue? Do you have something else related to brag about? Then join us in Hobart this 11-12th October, and get a discount on registration fee when you tell us about it!
 
The COSA Committee is looking for presentations from libraries using SirsiDynix products, but remember: you don't have to present by yourself. Think you can't talk for a full session? Partner with another librarian/library or even a vendor you worked with on the project, and talk for half as long!
 
This year, we're also looking to hear from people who use Google Analytics, or have System Administration Tips and Tricks to share. Please let the Committee know if you are prepared to join in with any of these topics or something completely different, so we can plan the program.
 
The theme for COSA 2017 is ‘Innovate Collaborate Inspire’, if you can contribute then contact us.

 


Is your library a member of COSA?

Membership is open to any site that is a current customer of SirsiDynix, and who is located in Australia, New Zealand or the Asia Pacific region.


Membership benefits include:

  • Up to 2 staff from a financial member institution or consortium may take advantage of discounted fees. Additional staff can attend at the non-member rates, or purchase additional memberships
